Application of vacuum pumps in vacuum forming processes

Vacuum pumps play a pivotal role in the vacuum forming process, and their core applications can be summarized as follows:


1.Composite molding: In vacuum-assisted molding of composite materials, vacuum pumps are used to facilitate the flow and penetration of resins, to achieve impregnation of fibers and their fabrics, and to complete curing under vacuum pressure.


2.Thermoforming: In the thermoforming process, the function of the vacuum pump is to adsorb the plastic film or sheet heated to a softened state onto the mold, and through vacuuming, the material is tightly attached to the surface of the mold to shape the desired shape.


3.Vacuum blister molding: Vacuum blister molding is usually used to make open shell products from thermoplastic sheets. The process achieves the molding of the product by heating the plastic sheet to soften it and then using the suction generated by a vacuum pump to make it fit tightly to the mold.
